Lead Patient Flow and After-Hours Operations Across Bayside Health
Metro South Health is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to join Bayside Health Service at Redland Hospital. This permanent part-time role (72 hours per fortnight) provides senior nursing leadership across patient flow, after-hours operations, staffing coordination and critical incident management, supporting safe, efficient care delivery across multiple Bayside Health Service sites
About Your Role
In this position you will provide advanced clinical, operational and professional leadership to support patient flow, bed management and after-hours nursing operations across Bayside Health Service facilities.
Key Responsibilities Include
* Providing senior nursing leadership for patient flow and after-hours operations across Bayside Health Service
* Coordinating bed management and patient flow strategies in collaboration with the Metro South Patient Access Communication Hub (PACH)
* Managing after-hours staffing levels, escalation and emergent human resource issues
* Providing leadership during critical incidents, including undertaking Chief Fire Warden responsibilities as required
* Supporting executive decision-making through expert clinical and operational judgement
About You
You are a senior Registered Nurse with strong expertise in patient flow, operational nursing management and after-hours leadership.
You Will Bring
* Demonstrated experience in patient flow, bed management and after-hours nursing operations
* Advanced leadership, communication and decision-making skills
* Strong understanding of workforce management, rostering and escalation processes
* Experience in quality improvement, risk management and service optimisation
* Postgraduate qualification (or current enrolment) in a relevant field (highly desirable)
