Overview
Gold Coast's iconic Garden Kitchen and Bar is currently recruiting an Assistant Sous Chef to help lead the brigade. You will be given the responsibility of supporting the leadership team to assist with mentoring the team and drive quality and consistency for this signature restaurant.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Chef de Cuisine in the planning of menus
* Monitors stock levels
* Assists in rostering and managing team members
* Ensure the quality and consistency of all food leaving the kitchen
* Mentor and develop the Demi's, Commis' and Apprentice Chefs
What are we looking for?
* Chef experience required in a 5-star environment or busy, ingredient led restaurant
* Experience driving quality and consistency, with a passion for a diverse range of food and a keen desire for continuous learning
* Previous experience with quality control in production and preservation
* Ability to ensure a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness within the kitchens
