Description:
The Technical Writer/ Designer is responsible for producing high-quality documentation and creating informative visuals (diagrams, graphic, and iconography) that contribute to the overall success of our services. This role will focus on creating customer-focused content to produce high-quality documents and visuals to deepen understanding of sometimes complex concepts in an easy to understand manner.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Working collaboratively with product managers, solution designers, network engineers, and solution architects to obtain an in-depth understanding of the products, solutions and documentation requirements.
* Researching, developing, and documenting technical design to write about a concept and then also translate the concept into a visual illustration and vice versa.
* Writing easy-to-understand documents and product descriptions that make complex concepts into digestible content.
* Be able to create visually engaging visuals (graphics and diagrams) that effectively communicate information in a visual manner that will be used in presentations and documents to elevate the audience's understanding.
* Producing high-quality documentation and visuals that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience and ensure brand guidelines and directives are embraced and adhered to in all executions.
* Maintaining a comprehensive library of technical terminology and documentation.
* Analyzing documents to maintain continuity of style of content.
* Managing updates and revisions to technical literature.
* Analyzing existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities.
* Provide design support for aligned client groups, as well as support projects from other clients as demand and scheduling require.
* Be accountable for producing the creative assets, ensure accuracy and attention to detail to meet or exceed overall design objectives.
* Respond to business requests and communications in a timely and thorough manner.
* Work to improve the team's overall performance by embracing agile methodology, functioning as an integral part of an agile team.
Qualifications and Experience/Skills Required
You'll need to have:
* Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
* Experience in technical writing of documentation (e.g., SOPs, CONOPS, test plans, testing documentation, training documentation, technical solution documents, and product and service descriptions).
* Experience with rapid prototyping of creative concepts utilizing both interactive hardware and software platforms.
* Current Security Clearance (Baseline or above)
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
* Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
* The ability to deliver high-quality documentation and informative visuals requiring a particular attention to detail.
* The ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures.
* The ability to work with minimal direction and can be counted on for accuracy, timely and precise file delivery, and file upkeep per project on the creative drive.
* Excellent writing skills in English.
* Proficiency in Google Suite.
* Self-motivation to prioritize and manage workload and meet critical project milestones and deadlines.
