About the Role
This newly created Senior Finance Analyst / Commercial Analyst role offers broad exposure across the business and plays a critical role in supporting commercial decision‐making.
Reporting to the Head of Finance – Australia, you will own core financial operations while acting as a trusted business partner to Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain. The role blends hands‐on financial control, planning & analysis, and commercial insight, making it ideal for a high‐performing analyst looking to step into a highly visible, value‐adding position.
Key responsibilities include:
* Owning the end‐to‐end month‐end process, including reporting, accruals, and P&L variance analysis
* Delivering clear financial insights and performance commentary to senior stakeholders
* Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and rolling outlooks
* Partnering with Sales and Marketing on pricing, trade investment, A&P spend, and growth initiatives
* Providing financial modelling and scenario analysis for new projects and product initiatives
* Supporting statutory reporting, audit processes, GST, and excise reporting
* Driving continuous improvement in financial processes, controls, and decision‐making
About You
You are a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working in fast‐paced, growth‐oriented environments. You combine strong technical fundamentals with the confidence to influence non‐finance stakeholders.
You will bring:
* A degree in Commerce, Finance, or a related discipline
* CPA, CA, or CIMA qualification
* Minimum 3 years' post‐qualification experience
* Experience in FMCG or similarly dynamic environments (liquor experience advantageous)
* Strong analytical and financial modelling capability
* Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems and BI tools
* A proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities
* Clear, confident communication and stakeholder‐engagement skills
