In this hands-on role, you'll lead the planning and execution of all maintenance and docking activities for a fleet of Defence vessels.
You'll collaborate closely with subcontractors, the Port Team Site Manager, and technical support staff to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently, all while meeting strict compliance and safety standards.As a Maintenance Manager in the Coonawarra team, you'll make a positive impact by:Managing and overseeing all vessel dockings, including scope, planning, compliance and cost controlDeveloping and implementing maintenance schedules using our enterprise asset management system (IFS)Directing all planned and corrective maintenance activities, ensuring timely and high-quality outcomesLeading and supporting technical staff, contractors, and operator/maintainers on maintenance tasksMonitoring safety compliance and documentation, including OQE and statutory certificationsReporting on performance against KPIs and supporting continuous improvement initiativesSerco is a place for youTo be successful in this role you'll have:A relevant Diploma or Trade Certificate, or Marine Engine Driver 1 (MED 1) qualificationExperience in vessel technical management, maintenance planning, or maritime superintendenceStrong understanding of maritime compliance and classification society rulesDemonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage contractors and teamsConfidence using computerised maintenance systems (e.g., IFS) and MS OfficeEligibility to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance (NV1)Please note:This position carries trust and responsibility.
