Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Trainer to join our bank training department. This role will focus on conducting teller training across multiple locations within the Bank and will gradually expand to include training for personal bankers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for learning and teaching, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel extensively.
Travel Requirements:
50% or more.
Essential Functions:
1. Participate in the facilitation and presentation of the bank's retail training Teller School program.
2. Conduct and evaluate various training programs, primarily retail operational training for tellers and personal bankers.
3. Use training materials such as presentations, worksheets, manuals, models, tutorials, and resource libraries to reinforce learning based on adult education principles.
4. Research and select appropriate instructional methods.
5. Assist in developing training schedules, acknowledgments, checklists, and reports.
6. Provide reports to management as needed.
7. Assist in developing on-the-job training curricula for new hires.
8. Collaborate with the Retail Product Manager on testing and implementing new retail products, services, and system changes, including developing and delivering related training materials.
9. Support acquisition training and technology teams as necessary.
10. Participate in job-specific training and other bank training programs as required.
11. Comply with BSA, AML, and all bank policies and procedures.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in business administration or related field preferred.
* At least two years of retail banking experience as a teller or personal banker.
* Retail banking management experience is a plus.
* Willingness to travel; home base in Abilene, TX.
* Flexibility to work extended hours as needed.
* Proficiency in presentation skills, sales, and AV equipment setup.
* Ability to facilitate virtual training sessions via Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
* Ability to manage stress, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines amid changing priorities.
* Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
* High accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to concentrate despite interruptions.
* Professional demeanor, self-discipline, initiative, judgment, and confidentiality.
