About The Casual Role
Looking for flexibility, variety, and the chance to grow your skills? The Psychologist/Clinical Psychologist Casual Pool may be exactly what you are looking for! As a casual, you'll provide short-term cover across Hunter New England sites and services. This could be full-time or part-time casual contracts of up to 13 weeks, depending on your availability and preferences.
In this role, there is an opportunity for diverse experiences across a wide range of clinical areas. We offer flexible and negotiable workdays to support your work-life balance. While shifts aren't guaranteed, we'll do our best to match your availability and preferences with service needs.
You'll also have the opportunity to build your professional network, working as a valued member of a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering high-quality care. Our teams are highly experienced, supportive, and welcoming, ensuring you feel encouraged and confident as you settle into your casual role.

About Our Services
Hunter New England provides Psychology services to the wider community, with the opportunity for casual staff to work in diverse and complex caseloads across our district. Working in inpatient, outpatient and community settings or you would get valuable experience and the opportunity to upskill in different areas.
The Allied Health Casual Pool helps maintain consistent service delivery across our district. Areas that you can choose to work within (you communicate your preference for location on a monthly basis):
Hunter ValleyLower mid-North Coast (Including Taree and Forster- a holiday destination!)Tamworth areaArmidale and Inverell areasNarrabri and Moree areasGreater Newcastle
You will be provided thorough orientation to each site and service. Additionally, you will be supported by senior staff responsible for the site/service, as well as being welcomed by the wider team for peer support. Requirements
Hold general registration (or be eligible for same) as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia via AHPRA.For a Psychologist/Clinical Psychologist in Training, holds a four-year degree in psychology being a three-year degree with a fourth-year honours in Psychology, or a qualification deemed equivalent by the employer. Must be completing an approved post-graduate qualification and hold at least provisional registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.

To be eligible for employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or hold an appropriate visa that allows you to live and work in Australia.
