Experienced Veterinary Nurse
Highlands Veterinary Hospital is currently seeking a compassionate and motivated Veterinary Nurse to join our team 4 days per week (36hr week).
We're a well-established, community-focused small animal practice located in the beautiful Southern Highlands. Our team prides itself on delivering exceptional care to our patients and their humans in a warm and professional environment.
About the Role:
This is a varied and hands-on role, offering a great mix of client service and clinical nursing duties. You will:
* Assist the veterinarian during consultations and surgical procedures
* Monitor anaesthesia and provide support in surgical preparation and recovery
* Provide care and monitoring for hospitalised patients
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the clinic and treatment areas
* Support with general admin, reception and greeting clients when needed.
About You:
* A Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing is essential
* Ability to confidently work unsupervised
* Confident in monitoring anaesthesia and handling animals in a clinical setting
* Confident in training/overseeing junior nurses
* Friendly, professional, and client-focused
* Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
* A genuine passion for animal care and wellbeing
* Australian citizenship is mandatory for this position
