About this role
As a Post Placement Support Officer (PPSO) you will contribute to the success of our program by coordinating and delivering support tailored to customer needs following placement into employment. Working closely with Employment Coaches and Employer Engagement Officers you will provide customers and employers with optimal solutions to sustainable employment outcomes. You will empower our customers, supporting them to sustain employment, build their independence and improve their wellbeing. It is an engaging, challenging and rewarding role.
Key responsibilities
* Provide quality post placement support that establishes effective relationships with customers and employers from 12‐weeks to 26‐weeks of employment.
* Offer mentoring, guidance and high levels of support that can be provided through the Employment Fund.
* Ensure that every participant and their employer receives the most appropriate support to achieve sustainable employment outcomes.
* Liaise effectively with employers to understand their requirements and foster open communication regarding a customer's progress.
* Deliver quality post placement support to customers and employers within their work environment.
* Maintain a thorough understanding of contractual and legislative requirements.
* Provide monthly forecasts of claims due for submission to support the region to meet their target.
* Identify any barriers that may impact ongoing employment and address them promptly.
* Gather evidence and submit claims through the IT system to the Central Claims Team.
About you
* You are passionate about your community and connecting people to opportunities.
* You are results‐driven but people‐focused.
* You have well‐developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to negotiate, liaise and consult with a wide range of stakeholders.
* You utilise professionalism and finely‐honed customer service skills when providing support to our customers.
* You are proficient in computer applications, including Windows and the MS Office suite.
* You understand and can work within a contractual compliant environment.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in Employment Services or sales/marketing industries are desirable.
* You hold a current driver's licence and are willing to undertake a satisfactory Police Check and a Working with Children Card as a pre‐condition of employment.
