Job Description:

* The Community Rehabilitation Unit (CRU) delivers adult outpatient rehabilitation service working with clients who have a diverse range of diagnostic conditions, primarily acquired neurological conditions such as stroke and traumatic brain injury.
* A multidisciplinary team comprising Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Dietetics, Social Work, Rehabilitation Nursing, Art Tutor, and Allied Health Assistants works together to provide client-centered goal setting and rehabilitation planning.
* Clients work towards achieving their rehabilitation goals in a well-equipped centre and in their home and community.
The Role:

1. An effective member of the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team assesses, plans, and delivers Occupational Therapy (OT) services for clients and their carers referred to the CRU in Southern Tasmania.
2. The OT professional ensures best practice standards for OT services provided by the CRU, in accordance with organisational policies and professional codes of conduct.
Requirements:

* Tertiary qualification or program of study approved by the Occupational Board of Australia
* Registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia
* Demonstrated knowledge of current contemporary Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation practices, including assessment and intervention techniques
* Ability to exercise professional judgment and initiative, to work with general supervision and to seek guidance as appropriate
* Demonstrated time management skills and ability to prioritise and monitor a busy workload while providing high-quality client care

* Salary: $73,834 to $111,364 per annum (pro rata)
