Lake Karrinyup Country Club is one of Western Australia's premier private golf clubs, located minutes from the city and surrounded by pristine bushland. The Club offers an elegant yet welcoming environment with a strong culture of service and an engaged membership.

This role is suited to candidates already working in a supervisor or assistant manager position within hospitality. Applicants without proven leadership experience in a restaurant, bar, hotel, or club environment will not be considered.

Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced, hands‐on Food & Beverage Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of our restaurant, bar, and functions program.

Working closely with the Food & Beverage Manager, you will lead front‐of‐house operations, supervise staff, and ensure every service runs smoothly across the Club's dining outlets and events calendar.

This is a full‐time role with a stable roster structure designed to support work‐life balance, while still covering evenings, weekends, and key event periods.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and support front‐of‐house operations across restaurant, bar, and functions.
* Supervise, coach, train, and roster staff to deliver consistently excellent service.
* Drive training programs, service standards, sequence of service, upselling, and product knowledge.
* Ensure compliance with WA liquor licensing, RSA enforcement, and health and safety procedures, including venue checks and incident reporting.
* Own opening and closing procedures, venue readiness, cleanliness checks, and maintenance tickets with clear follow‐up.
* Manage ordering, stock control, and supplier relationships across beverage, coffee, and consumables.
* Foster a positive team culture with clear expectations, fair rosters, and ongoing development.
Skills and Experience
* Minimum 3 years of F&B leadership experience in a hospitality environment.
* Demonstrated strength in staff training and development, including onboarding and refreshers.
* Confident roster builder with cost awareness, compliance, and coverage for peak service.
* Strong wine knowledge is a plus.
* Competent barista skills required for coffee preparation and service.
* Calm communicator under pressure, solutions focused, member focused.
Mandatory Requirements
* Current WA Approved Manager card.
* Current RSA certificate.
* Full Australian working rights.
* Availability for a rotating roster including evenings, weekends, and event periods.
What We Offer
* A supportive, professional, and friendly workplace in a beautiful private club setting.
* Competitive salary and benefits, with genuine long‐term career development.
* A stable full‐time role with thoughtful rostering that supports work‐life balance.
* The chance to help shape our bar, and signature member experiences.
* A member focused environment with an exciting annual events calendar.
