About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Telecommunications Network Planner to join our team. The successful applicant will design plan and develop efficient telecommunications networks aligning with business and client requirements. The role involves assessing network infrastructure preparing design documentation coordinating implementation ensuring quality safety and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Designing developing telecommunications network infrastructure including copper fibre and wireless systems.
* Preparing network diagrams plans and detailed technical documentation using CAD or other design tools.
* Analysing existing network performance recommending system upgrades or redesigns to improve efficiency capacity.
* Liaising with clients engineers contractors determining technical operational requirements.
* Estimating material labour time requirements for network installation maintenance projects.
* Ensuring compliance with Australian communications safety standards ACMA and other regulatory frameworks.
* Conducting site surveys feasibility studies risk assessments prior implementation.
* Monitoring installation commissioning new network systems ensuring design specifications met.
* Maintaining accurate project records reports performance data supporting operational decisions.
Qualifications Experience
Minimum 1–2 years experience in telecommunications network planning related engineering roles. Sound knowledge of network topology fibre optic systems wireless communications transmission principles. Strong analytical problem-solving project management skills. Excellent communication stakeholder coordination abilities.
