What You'll Do Product & Technology - Software Engineering & IT develops and maintains Telstra's software and IT systems, working on some really cutting-edge technologies.
Develop and maintain Android Mobile applications using Kotlin ensuring high performance and responsiveness.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and backend developers, to deliver feature-rich applications.Translate design mock-ups and wireframes into functional components.Write clean, reusable, and efficient code while adhering to coding standards and best practices.Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers to promote knowledge sharing and code quality.Troubleshoot and debug issues, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement solutions.Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices in front-end development.Participate in architectural discussions and help make informed decisions about technology stack and tools.Perform UI automation using industry standard toolsPerform DevOps role with scheduled production support and making sure the application is available all the time.About You 10+ years of Native Mobile Development and testing experienceExperience in working with Android SDK & ADT environmentMinimum 5 years of experience in developing mobile applications in Kotlin.Experience utilizing standard Android APIsKnowledge in Jetpack ComposeThorough knowledge of Object-oriented programming principles.Very good optimization and debugging skillsComponent ManagementUX DesignGood knowledge in Android unit testing frameworks like Junit and Robolectric and mock frameworks.Experience in Automate Testing frameworks, Test-Driven Development (TDD), Business Driven Development (BDD) and maestro/Espresso/Kaspresso or similar tools knowledge to write automation test suites.We're amongst the top 2% of companies globally in the CDP Global Climate Change Index 2023, being awarded an 'A' rating.
