The Role

This is a great role with no weekend work.
Standard hours are 38 per week, starting at 5:30AM each day. Some overtime may be required from time to time.
Key Responsibilities:
Build troubleshooting:
* Work with team members to troubleshoot complex technical build problems to meet customer requirements.
Production Scheduling:
* Allocate work orders to work centres in the most efficient way, to meet scheduled due dates
Team Management:
* Work with team members to ensure completion of scheduled work orders in the most efficient manner possible whilst ensuring quality is maintained
* Run daily meeting with team and ensure reporting from each team member on KPIs.
Quality Assurance:
* Oversee Quality Assurance process, including wet testing of final assemblies
* Review Quality Issues (actual and potential) & work proactively (if necessary with other departments) to resolve.
Continuous improvement:
* Drive & embed a culture of continuous improvement including working with other departments of the business.
Housekeeping:
* Drive good housekeeping practices across the team, including the implementation of 5S.
About You:
* Not afraid to oversee & troubleshoot production of a complex technical product – a working knowledge of pumps, engines & low voltage electrical componentry is essential
* At least 5 years' experience in a senior operations management role
* Accurate & detailed – you are driven by accuracy & precision.
* Previous experience in high variation low volume manufacturing is essential, this role isn't about optimising machines on a production line.
* Current driver's licence
* Current forklift licence or be willing to obtain prior to start
* Ability to work to deadlines under pressure
* Valid working rights in Australia as we are unable to sponsor candidates.
