Life Science Incubator (LSI), a biotech accelerator, is expanding its global footprint with the launch of its first Australian facility in Brisbane. Set to open in October 2025 at QIMR Berghofer, the new centre will serve as a dynamic biomedical innovation hub designed to foster collaboration among scientists, startups, investors, and industry leaders. This strategic initiative, in partnership with Altea Investments, aims to accelerate health innovation by providing purpose-built co-working laboratory spaces, infrastructure, and commercialisation support for emerging life science ventures.
This role will be responsible for the daily operations, community development, and member success at LSI\'s Brisbane lab, ensuring an exceptional experience for LSI members while maintaining world-class lab compliance and efficiency:
Manage daily lab operations, ensuring all systems run smoothly and safely. Maintain SOPs, conduct inspections, and oversee vendor relationships, equipment maintenance, and chemical safety documentation.
Lead tours, respond to enquiries, and convert leads into members. Oversee onboarding and provide ongoing support to ensure a high-quality experience and strong member retention.
Maintain a strong pipeline of prospective members and partners. Collaborate with the GM to meet occupancy and revenue targets through strategic outreach and engagement.
Supervise lab technicians, allocate tasks, and support staff development through training, performance check-ins, and input into annual reviews.
Manage lab-related purchasing, invoicing, and vendor payments. Support budgeting and liaise with finance teams to ensure accurate reporting and cost control.
Foster a collaborative member community through events and campaigns. Represent LSI locally at industry events and contribute to marketing and brand-building efforts.
