School Nurse
Melbourne Grammar School is seeking a full-time School Nurse to work with our team within the Junior School, Grimwade House.
This opportunity will see you use your passion for nursing to support the development and well-being of young people and provide care for the Melbourne Grammar School community.
The Grimwade House School Nurse will embody the school's values in the approach to students, teachers, parents and the wider community and will have a strong understanding of child safety and wellbeing.
The role works autonomously, reporting directly to the Health Centre Manager.
This full-time fixed-term position commences 19 January **** and concludes 2 April ****.
Responsibilities
Provide first aid, medical assistance, monitoring and advice to students, staff and visitors.
Assist with co-coordination of the Health Centre.
Maintain accurate records of care, including incident reporting using Synergetic.
Assist in the management of ongoing health problems (e.g., asthma, anaphylaxis, diabetes).
Purchase and control health centre supplies and assist with ordering and maintaining first aid kits.
Qualifications
Appropriate educational qualifications with a Registered Nurse (Division 1) credential.
