Resolve Recruit is partnering with a leading Commonwealth Government agency to find a highly skilled Senior Systems Analyst.

This is an exciting opportunity to apply your analytical expertise to translate complex business needs into robust technical solutions, while contributing to the continuous improvement of critical national systems.
As a Senior Systems Analyst, you will analyse datasets using a variety of tools to research and resolve organisational challenges, identify trends, and deliver actionable insights. Working under limited direction, you will exercise sound judgement in interpreting policy and applying best-practice methodologies, managing competing priorities while contributing to business planning and improvement strategies across a high-profile government environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform detailed analysis and evaluation of business processes, translating requirements into functional specifications and solution designs
* Design, document and maintain solution artefacts to meet business expectations and support daily operations
* Conduct comprehensive technical application assessments, including feasibility, resource effort, risk and benefit analysis
* Collaborate with stakeholders to define tasks, resolve issues and ensure effective and timely project implementation
* Manage the full life cycle of system changes and improvements, including testing activities such as test planning, execution and defect management
* Prepare high-quality technical and corporate documentation for review by executive-level staff, and provide expert advice to senior management
Key Experience and Skills
* Ability plan and drive scoping, requirements definition and prioritisation for large, complex initiatives
* Experience managing feasibility assessments, including preparation of business cases with cost/benefit, impact and risk analysis (SFIA Level 5)
* Systems design capability, with experience undertaking impact analysis on major design options and ensuring designs balance functional and non-functional requirements.
* Ability to provide clear, well-informed specialist advice, drawing on multiple sources of expertise to support organisational objectives.
* Experience understanding customer data requirements and analysing matching scenarios within data management tools to improve and maintain data quality
