Job Description for Skilled Labourer - Fencing and Outdoor Construction
Our clients, operating out of their purpose-built facility in the Pakenham area, are a fencing and outdoor construction business with over 30 years of experience in commercial, industrial, and residential fencing installations servicing all industries in greater Melbourne and surrounding areas.
With a high volume of work in the pipeline, we are looking to recruit a skilled labourer seeking consistent work in residential and commercial fencing.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist installers in installing various types of fencing, including timber, Colorbond, aluminium, and other materials.
* Dig post holes and set fence posts in concrete or gravel.
* Assist in measuring and marking layouts according to working drawings.
* Load, unload, and transport fencing materials to and from job sites.
* Operate hand and power tools such as shovels, post hole diggers, saws, and drills.
Requirements:
* Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and working on your feet for extended periods.
* Reliable, honest, with good communication skills and a teamwork attitude.
* White Card and valid driver's license.
* Knowledge and experience using hand and power tools.
* High attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
* Long-term commitment to the role.
* Immediate availability to start.
