About This Role

At Only About Children (OAC), we're reimagining how families discover and experience their early learning journey. We're looking for a brand‐led marketer and communications specialist to strengthen and amplify the OAC brand – bringing our products, services and philosophy to life through compelling storytelling and strategic communications. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you'll lead integrated brand communications with a strong focus on public relations and media to build awareness, credibility and trust with families, communities and industry stakeholders.

This is a permanent role based in St Leonards, partnering closely across the business and with specialist agencies.

Your work will help families and communities feel confident in OAC – by shaping how our story is told in the market and ensuring our brand shows up with clarity, warmth and consistency. You'll play a pivotal role in building our reputation through earned, owned and paid media.

What You'll Do (the Work You'll Be Proud Of)

* Lead OAC's brand amplification through standout storytelling, engaging creative and proactive opportunities that build trust with families and communities.
* Own PR and media relationships – developing proactive PR strategies to increase brand visibility and positive media coverage.
* Deliver brand campaigns and advertorial partnerships that lift awareness and understanding of OAC's philosophy and offering – ensuring strong integration across channels.
* Run influencer/ambassador partnerships that are authentic, genuine and increase brand awareness and reach within key family audiences.
* Lead owned social and campus community engagement – creating and curating content and creative that is consistent and on‐brand and strengthens both awareness and advocacy.
* Champion customer voice and brand experience by overseeing Google Review responses and online sentiment, turning feedback into learning, advocacy and improved reputation.
* Operate as a calm, capable comms partner internally and externally – collaborating closely with senior leaders to align messaging, priorities and outcomes.

What Success Looks Like In Your First 6 Months

* Secure positive PR for the brand through earned + owned media: identify and execute opportunities to extend the brand narrative to our core family audience.
* Brand campaign support: contribute to the delivery of a new brand advertising campaign, ensuring strong integration across channels and amplification across earned media channels.
* Proactive PR engine: build momentum via media relationships and a consistent pipeline of newsworthy stories and angles.
* Growth market/greenfields visibility: support local PR and storytelling for new or growing campuses through local, owned and earned media.
* Own reputation management and crisis comms coordination – working closely with our external affairs agency to manage external affairs, align messaging and deliver well‐governed responses.
* Support campus network with local storytelling opportunities across all channels.

You'll thrive here if you bring

* 5+ years' experience in marketing, brand marketing, PR or communications.
* Demonstrated capability in public relations, media engagement and brand storytelling, translating strategy into earned outcomes.
* Experience managing influencers/ambassadors and external partnerships.
* Strong understanding of content marketing, social media and integrated brand communications.
* Confidence working with senior stakeholders and navigating media forums with sound judgement.
* Comfort using marketing systems and "back‐end" publishing – HubSpot and/or WordPress experience is highly regarded.
* A proactive, agile style – someone who can multitask, stay calm under pressure, and build strong journalist relationships over time.
