The Role
As Head Chef, you will have full responsibility for kitchen operations across all service styles. This is a hands‐on leadership role suited to a confident, organised, and creative chef who enjoys mentoring their team and driving standards on the floor.
Key Responsibilities
* End‐to‐end kitchen management across service periods
* Development of a new share‐style menu, blending classic tapas with contemporary flavours
* Food cost control, labour management, waste reduction, and supplier coordination
* Leading, training, and motivating a small, stable kitchen team
* Maintaining food safety, allergen compliance, and quality assurance standards
* Working closely with ownership and management to deliver a consistent guest experience
About You
* Proven experience as a Head Chef in a high‐volume hospitality environment
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
* A creative approach to menu design with a passion for fresh, quality food
* Demonstrated ability to manage food costs, labour, equipment, and stock
* A positive, reliable, and team‐focused attitude
* The ability to perform calmly and effectively during busy service periods
* Sound knowledge of food safety and allergen requirements
* Flexibility to work a rotating roster including evenings and weekends
* Experience with kitchen financial software such as Cooking the Books is advantageous, though training will be provided.
