Step away from the city chaos and work where life still breathes at a gentler pace. This position is in a semi-regional, lush, and beautifully green — the sort of place where weekends are for markets, scenic drives, and good coffee by the fire.
The Role
We're seeking an experienced Local Laws / Animal Management Officer who can hit the ground running. Someone who's not afraid of responsibility, knows how local government works, and appreciates the fine art of balancing community expectations with compliance — all while keeping things fair, calm, and professional.
Think: a steady hand, a community-minded approach, and just enough grit to handle the occasional cranky rooster or resident.
You'll Be
* Managing animal-related compliance and community inquiries
* Responding to local law matters with diplomacy and common sense
* Supporting community safety and amenity
* Undertaking patrols, inspections, and investigations
* Preparing documentation and reports as required
You'll Bring
* Previous experience in Local Laws and/or Animal Management
* Knowledge of Local Government legislation and processes
* Strong communication skills — straight talk, but respectful
* The ability to deal with tricky situations calmly and confidently
* A current driver's licence
Why You'll Love It
* Work where the scenery actually makes the morning commute enjoyable
* Semi-regional lifestyle, professional role
* Supportive team environment
* A contract role with stability — minimum 3 months to start
* A chance to make a real difference in a thriving community
This role suits someone who values the way things have always worked — community, respect, responsibility — while still being ready to help shape what comes next. A little tradition, a little progress, and a lot of purpose.
If you're ready to bring your experience to a place where life feels a bit more grounded — we'd love to hear from you.
