Job Title:
We are seeking an experienced Legal Practitioner to join our team and undertake litigation on behalf of the Department of Police and Emergency Management. This role requires a high level of expertise in relation to family violence matters.
About the Role:
The Legal Practitioner will be responsible for providing legal services and support to the Department, with particular emphasis on matters relating to family violence as part of the Safe at Home whole-of-government strategy. The successful candidate will work closely with various stakeholders to achieve the goals of the strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Undertake litigation on behalf of the Department.
* Provide legal services and support to the Department.
* Maintain a high level of expertise in relation to family violence matters.
Requirements:
* Admitted or qualified for admission as a Barrister or practitioner of the Supreme Court of Tasmania under the Legal Profession Act.
* More than 2 years post-admission experience relevant to the position.
