About the Role
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Trainer for UEE30820 – Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician to join our academic team at our Perth campus.
The ideal candidate will be well-organised, have strong interpersonal skills, demonstrate ongoing professional development and industry currency, and possess thorough knowledge of NVR requirements for VET RTO Standards.
Skills and Qualifications Required
* TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or higher), or willingness to obtain:
* TAEASS502 Design and Develop Assessment Tools
* TAELLN411 Address Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Skills
* A recognised qualification in the relevant field
* Experience in the VET sector, including student engagement, retention, and support strategies (highly regarded)
* Minimum of one year teaching experience (preferred)
* Experience working with international students
* Previous experience in a similar training or teaching role
* Moderate computer literacy (MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong organisational, planning, and time management abilities
* High attention to detail and adaptability to changing circumstances
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Contribute to the development of training materials that meet ASQA requirements
* Participate in regular assessment validation and moderation activities
* Develop and deliver learning materials as required
* Facilitate engaging content delivery and student interaction
* Ensure compliance with organisational policies and regulatory guidelines
* Mentor and assess students from diverse cultural backgrounds
* Assess learner competency in line with performance criteria
