We are currently seeking a Blasting Operations Leader at our Coppabella Moorvale Joint Venture (CMJV) - Coppabella Mine.
About the role
This position involves overseeing drilling and blasting activities to ensure compliance with mine plans, safety standards, and legislative requirements. You will be responsible for leading and coordinating teams and contractors to deliver high-quality outcomes aligned with the mine plan.
* Promote a strong safety culture and drive continuous improvement in drill utilisation and blast crew productivity.
* Maintain accurate records of drilling and blasting performance.
About You
You have an operationally focused background in open cut coal mining with S1, S2, S3 Supervisory competencies and G2 qualifications. Your expertise includes shotfirer's tickets as well as experience in supervising teams.
* A minimum of 5 years in open cut drill and blast operations is required along with exposure to non-el electronic blasting systems.
