Production Systems Engineer – Queensland Alumina Limited

About the Role
Reporting to the Technical Specialist, you will facilitate the optimisation, control and improvement of the Bayer process through data analysis, process modelling and production reporting, including month-end accounting and forecasting.
Plan and oversee the key month-end inputs with internal and external teams
Validate inputs and month-end calculations
Use and improve site reporting systems
SysCAD plant modelling and ownership of the plant model
Process impact assessments, project valuations, production budget and tracking
Conduct process improvement projects – identify, value and document projects through modelling and data analysis
To be successfully considered for this role, you should have:
A strong commitment to personal and team safety
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (desirable)
Experience working in an industrial processing plant (preferred)
Familiarity with the Bayer process (desirable)
Proven ability to develop and implement process solutions within a multi-disciplinary team environment
Experience in troubleshooting process issues and delivering practical, technical solutions
Excellent analytical thinking and effective verbal communication skills
Strong focus on customer service and achieving business outcomes
