Minimum Qualifications / Experience
* Matric (Grade 12) or N4 equivalent
* Have an applicable trade certificate as an Electrician
* 5 years+ experience as an Electrician
* Knowledge in fault finding, PLC instrumentation, high voltage, switching, aggregate crushing, screening process, understanding of VSDs and soft starters
* Be able to interpret electrical drawings
* Be prepared to work after hours and be on standby as and when required
* Be able to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
* Knowledge of On Key and SIS (Cat) systems will be advantageous
* The ability to work as part of a team but also without supervision
* Computer Literate
* Pre-employment medical required
Duties And Responsibilities (not Limited To)
* Ensuring compliance with all the requirements of the Mine Health and Safety Act
* Identify causes of electrical dysfunction and repairing
* Ensure complete, accurate and timeous job card feedback and repair reports
* Design and wire electrical mains and control circuits
* Ensuring safe work practices and compliance with all SHE Legislation
* Ensuring a safe and legally complaint working environment (SHE and MHSA Legislation) and work practices
* Compliance with all electrical work to SANS0142
* Report unsafe work procedures
* Attending electrical breakdowns and maintenance ensuring minimum downtime on production
* Keeping own working area clean, tidy & presentable always
* Managing & maintaining tooling in good, serviceable condition
* Result orientated – driving high performing culture and working in a high-pressure environment
The candidates must be medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act and the Company standards for medical fitness.
