Private health insurance Onsite role (5 days a week) THE ROLE As a Systems Administrator, you'll join a global IT team supporting Australian operations while configuring infrastructure that connects the wider business. This is a hands-on role combining day-to-day support with project delivery, upgrades, documentation, and ongoing system improvement. Responsibilities: Provide desktop/software and infrastructure support for critical systems. Monitor performance, availability, and capacity, performing proactive maintenance. Configure and support Windows/Linux servers, Virtualisation platforms, routers/switches, VPN's, firewalls. Troubleshoot complex incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes. Plan and deliver system upgrades, including scheduling, coordination, and rollback planning. Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and recommend solutions. Coordinate with vendors and third parties when required. Ensure systems align with security, compliance, and internal IT standards (ISO207001 and SOC 2). YOUR PROFILE Suitable for a Systems administrator with experience supporting users across Desktop/Software issues, as well as building and maintaining Servers, Virtualisation platforms, Networks. Ideal for a technical guru, confident communicating with end users and senior management, and capable of 'seeing the bigger picture' to connect and improve Systems and Networks globally. The following is required: IT support and infrastructure configuration experience inside complex enterprise environments. Experience building and maintaining Windows/Linux Servers, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy. Solid network configuration knowledge (e.g. FortiGate firewalls, Cisco routers/switches, Wi-Fi, VPNs, IP, DNS, connectivity troubleshooting). Experience building Virtualisation platforms (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox). Microsoft 365 support experience (e.g. Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint). Clear communication skills and confidence engaging with business stakeholders. Analytical problem solver focused on root cause resolution. Organised, process-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities. Nice to have: ITIL Foundation or similar certification. ISO certifications/ Security frameworks knowledge (ISO207001, SOC2 etc.) Exposure to security or physical security systems (access control, CCTV). Proxmox Virtualisation experience.
