Overview
This role is for a Product Designer who is passionate about or a user of Decentralised Finance products, designing a next-gen trading platform with a $400mn TVL.
This is a rare chance to join a globally leading project based in Australia.
The role
We're looking for a designer to help us build the core trading UI for a next-gen on-chain platform built to rival the speed and polish of centralised exchanges.
You’ll take full control of the UI behind one of DeFi’s most advanced trading platforms - used daily by thousands of professional traders. This is your chance to design a high-performance interface that’s fast, reliable, and built for split-second decisions.
The product is complex, the bar is high, and your work will be shipped into the product fast.
You’ll own and shape the existing design system from the ground up, having impact on how real traders interact with data under pressure. And because this kind of work is rarely found in our part of the world, you’ll gain influence and visibility faster than in larger, slower orgs.
You’ll partner with a product manager who deeply understands the product - giving you fast cycles, confident decisions, and the freedom to focus on craft. What you design here won’t just solve problems today - it’ll help define how future DeFi platforms look and feel.
What you’ll work on
- Craft beautiful, modern UI that set a new bar for visual polish in the industry for web and mobile using Figma
- Maintain and evolve our design system - refining components, variants, variables, and spacing
- Design and ship high-fidelity UI for web and mobile that balances aesthetics with usability
- Translate tickets into scoped design work and sync with PM as needed
- Drive clarity during handoff, working closely with engineers to ensure clean builds
- Keep UX pragmatic and responsive
What you'll need
- Advanced Figma skills: components, variants, auto layout, variables
- Proven design‑system experience and strong up-to-date UI craft and visual taste
- DeFi/crypto familiarity, including wallets and common dApps UX
- Practical UX judgement with fast iteration and high attention to detail across layout, spacing, interaction and responsiveness
About the company
Next gen on‑chain trading platform delivering CEX level performance (sub-20ms). The team is a highly capable startup culture operating remote‑first in AEST. The small, high-output team includes a PM, two other designers and three front-end engineers.
The fast-moving, low‑ceremony setup gives you quick feedback loops and strong collaboration with product and engineering, so you can focus on what matters - designing a high‑performance UI that users love.
