PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: As a part of your role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of the financial reporting processes and you will have a deep understanding of process taxonomies & mapping, financial reporting risks and management, and regulatory requirements. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments related to financial reporting processes. Identify and analyse potential risks, ensuring a thorough understanding of the regulatory environment and industry best practices. Develop and implement robust internal control frameworks for financial reporting. Design, document, and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls to mitigate identified risks. Conduct process mapping, in collaboration with the process transformation team, to visualise and document end-to-end financial reporting workflows, identifying key risk and control points. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial reporting processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and optimise workflow. Ensure compliance with relevant financial reporting requirements and communicate updates to stakeholders. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: CA/CPA qualified (or international equivalent) is desirable. 7+ years of progressive post-qualification experience in financial reporting, with a focus on risks and controls. Must have the ability to implement best practice risk management/control frameworks. A strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements. Good experience in developing and implementing process taxonomies and conducting process mapping. Experience operating and delivering results in a matrix environment and leveraging relationships to influence and drive successful outcomes. Financial Services expertise will be preferred.
