We are seeking an experienced Senior Trainer to join our team on a secondment through to 30 June 2026. In this role, you will design, develop, and deliver high-quality training programs that build a highly skilled NHVR workforce with strong regulatory capability.
This position can be based in Adelaide, Melbourne, Launceston, or Mount Gambier.
Primary Objective
Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs that provide the NHVR with a highly skilled workforce with a high degree of regulatory capability.
Your key responsibilities will include:
• Contribute to and monitor national heavy vehicle training best practice to ensure operations staff meet the objectives of the NHVR.
• Conduct training needs analysis and other associated strategies to identify and address the training needs of the Operations Division staff.
• Conduct and manage evaluation on course delivery methodologies and content to support best practice.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the NHVRs training goals are met.
• Provide ongoing advice to the NHVR Operations staff on training related matters.
• Identify and develop innovative training solutions to develop and improve the capability and performance of Authorised Officers under the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) to effectively undertake their functions and in accordance with the national on-road compliance strategy.
