The day to day
As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing new and existing State Government customer accounts. This includes:
* Engaging with group executives and IT management to grow awareness of the Optus brand and our core products.
* Leading the execution of Optus’ strategy within State Government Departments and Community agencies.
* Contributing to and leading the execution of central initiatives such as action planning, governance, major pursuits, and executive engagements.
* Leading a team of dedicated and matrixed Pre-Sales, Delivery, and Specialist resources to build positive relationships and deliver world-class enterprise services.
* Driving the development of Co-Creation strategies with partners like Cisco, Microsoft, NICE, and HPE to foster innovation and product development.
Why you are our next Account Manager
We are seeking a candidate with a proven track record in IT or Telecommunications who can successfully implement growth strategies and build customer dedication. You should have:
* A minimum of 2 years’ experience in supporting long-term business relationships and strategic business plans.
* Demonstrated success in delivering growth strategies and maintaining high customer happiness.
* Strong leadership skills to influence and lead both direct and indirect reports from Sales, Delivery, and Product & Strategy teams.
* The ability to drive performance and delivery through focus on core strategies and programs.
* Excellent negotiation skills to manage relationships with C-level executives in a competitive environment.
