**Your new ongoing role**
Are you a seasoned manager who is able to envision how technology enables the business to transform the way they work and then deliver on that vision?
We are seeking an outstanding leader to lead a highly skilled group of Project Managers across a portfolio of projects and to work on a permanent / ongoing basis.
You will have a proven track record of delivering new technology in a large and complex organisation, along with an ability to bring stakeholders along with the change. As well as having the capacity to run small projects on the side, you will be a key driver of transforming our project delivery capability.
You will work closely with executives both within IS&T and across SA Police with a portfolio focusing on delivering new business systems capability.
You will manage a multi-million dollar portfolio of work with accountability for project development and execution, governance and risk management.
Full responsibility for a quality outcome on time and budget with high user take up is a feature of this role, along with the ability to mature and transform project delivery capability. Your experience in a large complex organisation will be crucial, as will your ability to work with the PMO and Change Management across teams to deliver outcomes
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Extensive experience in designing and managing complex IT programs and projects to meet strategic business objectives.
- Extensive experience formulating advice and reporting for executive level including experience presenting a program or portfolio view of project progress, budget status and risk.
- Experience in leading and managing people to deliver quality outcomes within agreed timeframes.
- Extensive experience in managing procurement processes and suppliers in a project context.
- Experience in defining and implementing resource strategies for complex IT projects.
- Highly developed negotiation, stakeholder management, engagement and relationships skills, including the ability to work in partnership with project managers and influence executives.
- Expertise in risk and issue management in an IT context.
