Lead Solar/Electrification Installer
to join us – who shares our commitment to quality, customer satisfaction, and technical excellence.
The Role
As our Lead Installer, you will:
Lead and perform electrical installation works on residential/commercial projects, covering solar PV, battery storage, EV chargers, and power control systems
Manage and supervise apprentices and other installers in our network; mentor and train junior apprentices
Ensure systems are safely installed to a high standard and in compliance with all regulatory, CEC & SAA requirements
Troubleshoot technical issues and perform quality assurance checks on installations
Liaise with the sales/design team to understand system specifications and customer needs
Contribute to continuous improvement: refine installation processes, as well as efficiency, safety & workmanship standards
Manage job documentation, commissioning, handover and system testing
What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements:
Qualified Electrician with a NSW contractor's licence
Solar SAA installation and/or design licence for installing PV systems
Battery SAA licence is ideal but not essential (we will provide training/pay for accreditation for the right applicant)
Proven experience (ideally 3+ years) with solar & battery installations
Strong leadership capacity: ability to lead, manage and motivate a small installation team
High attention to detail, safety-first mindset, and excellent problem-solving skills
Good communication skills – comfortable liaising across teams and with customers
Driver's licence, and ability to use / maintain a company vehicle
Advantageous experience:
Experience commissioning and testing systems (inverters, optimisers & battery systems)
Understanding of Clean Energy Council (CEC) Standards, regulations, and best practices
Experience with EV charger installations and power control equipment – highly desirable but not essential
Previous experience in a sales + installation solar company or hybrid role
Forklift licence, elevated work platform (EWP) ticket, or other relevant certifications
