The Department of Justice provides an effective justice system by delivering programs and services which contribute to building safe communities and the protection of rights.

The Service Desk Analyst provides broad-ranging Tier 1 support to users utilising a range of media (including the infrastructure environment and software) to troubleshoot and resolve issues of moderate complexity across the organisations' ICT environment.

**About you**:

- Relevant experience in a similar technical service desk role within a medium to large organisation.
- Experience working with Microsoft technologies such as Active Directory and a good understanding of networking aspects such as DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP.
- Ability to problem solve through analytical thinking and research rather than historical learning.
- A solid customer focus and ability to effectively communicate in technical and non-technical language.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in a fast paced environment
- Experience with ticket logging tools and documentation such as ServiceNow
- Able to work rotating roster arrangements between Mon-Fri 7:30am - 6:00pm

**About the Role**:
Providing advice to DCJ employees to ensure as many enquiries are resolved without the need for escalation to Tier 2 IT support teams.
Administrative processing of work items to provision access to IT systems, submission of warranty claims and logistics of service calls.
Adhering to relevant policies, procedures and processes to ensure information and advice provided to clients is current and accurate.
Answering, clarifying and responding to client questions/complaints and status follow up calls, including the nature of the enquiry, problem or issue to ensure accurate advice is provided to the client and complex matters are escalated appropriately.
