Play a hands-on role in supporting Australia’s national Defence capability.
We’re seeking a skilled Industrial Machinist to contribute to high-priority research and development activities involving explosive ordnance. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a secure, purpose-driven environment where precision and safety are paramount.
What You’ll Do
•Perform precision machining on explosive ordnance (EO)
•Maintain laboratories and manufacturing equipment, including calibration
•Ensure compliance documentation for safe laboratory operations is current and complete
What You Bring
•Strong skills in machining and fabrication of mechanical components
•Experience with CNC operation and programming, as well as manual machinery
•Ability to interpret CAD models, technical drawings, and sketches
•Commitment to safe working practices, especially around hazardous materials
•Experience with explosive ordnance is desirable but not essential, training will be provided
•Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (desirable)

•Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) clearance
•NDA required following initial application assessment
