* Salary: $84,096 – $95,103 per annum, plus 17% Super and Leave Loading.
Support sustainable livestock operations and regenerative agriculture at Western's Hawkesbury Farm.
The Opportunity
Join Western Sydney University's Environmental Sustainability team and play a vital role in advancing our sustainability agenda through innovative farm operations. As Livestock Coordinator, you will provide specialist support for livestock management and farm production, ensuring compliance with animal welfare standards and industry best practice.
You will oversee animal husbandry, including vaccination, breeding, and monitoring livestock health during critical periods such as calving and lambing. Your expertise will guide pasture and cropping management based on regenerative principles, while ensuring efficient irrigation practices using recycled water.
Beyond day-to-day operations, you will contribute to planning livestock sales and purchases, maintain accurate records using Agriweb, and support teaching and research initiatives through our Living Labs. This role requires the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
What Success Looks Like:
* Deliver high standards of animal welfare and compliance with industry and legislative requirements.
* Maintain accurate livestock and chemical records using approved systems and processes.
* Support farm operations through effective planning, infrastructure maintenance, and stakeholder engagement.

About You
* Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in agricultural and farm operations.
* Current ChemCERT accreditation and practical knowledge of cattle grazing and pasture management.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, undertaking physical tasks associated with farm operations.
* Current driver's licence is essential; motorcycle licence preferred and heavy vehicle licence desirable.
