· gforce Employment + Recruitment has a fantastic opportunity to commence a full-time Carpentry Apprenticeship. This role will work from Geelong and surrounding regions so will require a car and licence to secure the role. This is an opportunity to commence your first-year carpentry apprenticeship or to move from your current role and broaden your skillset (open to 2nd – 4th year apprentices).
As an apprentice carpenter you will have the opportunity to learn all aspects of the carpentry trade through a four-year apprenticeship. You will be working with a great crew of people where you can learn from qualified tradesmen in a supportive environment.
About the role:
You will:
· Learn all aspects of the trade from framing to lock up, fixes, cladding and decking.
· Develop skills in the use of hand and power tools
· Plan and organise work
· Read and interpret plans
· Attend trade school to complete your four-year apprenticeship
Essential criteria
· Genuine interest in carpentry
· Drivers licence and reliable vehicle
· White card
· Punctual and dedicated to the apprenticeship
· Toolkit of basic tools to commence
· Be physically fit
Your attention to detail in presenting a current resume, returning calls, showing up on time and demonstrating your enthusiasm for the trade will all count towards securing this role.

What to expect:
You will work a 40 hour week (including TAFE training) and have one rostered day off a month (over and above your normal weekends). Some overtime may be required.
