Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Culinary Service Associate to join our team. As a Culinary Service Associate, you will be responsible for preparing, presenting and serving meals, ensuring the quality of the food and overall presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform preparatory tasks such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables in accordance with established procedures.
2. Transport pans, kettles and trays of food to and from workstations, stoves and refrigerators in a safe and efficient manner.
3. Store food in designated areas following proper wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
4. Set up items for sale on a daily basis.
5. Perform general cleaning duties; remove trash and garbage to designated areas.
6. Distribute supplies, utensils and portable equipment as needed.
7. Utilize approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
8. Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
9. Resolve customer complaints and relay relevant information to supervisors.
10. Ensure compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
11. Provide service in all retail areas, including cashiering and line serving.
Requirements:
* Familiarity with cash register operations is an asset.
* Strong time management and organizational skills to manage heavy workloads.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team as required.
* Excellent command of the English language, both verbally and in writing, and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
* Prior experience in food service in healthcare, hotel, restaurant or fast food is considered an asset.
* Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
