What’s the role? Join our Retail Banking tech team to help transform staff sales and servicing solutions as part of a dynamic Digital Delivery Train. You'll work on business-critical projects using modern technologies like React.js, Node.js, Java, Spring Boot and Kafka, within an agile engineering environment. Main role and responsibilities are: • Drive technical innovation by researching and implementing new technologies, tools, and methodologies. • Align technical strategies with business objectives and contribute to the team’s long-term technology roadmap. • Advocate for and implement DevOps or similar methodologies to enhance development processes and productivity. • Continuously assess and improve software development workflows and tools to boost efficiency. • Promote best practices, lead training sessions, and share expertise to strengthen the team’s capabilities. • Oversee the development and execution of testing strategies, including unit, integration, and performance tests. • Provide expert guidance on technical challenges, solutions, and best practices to development teams. • Assist with assessing engineering recruitment. • Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers to foster their technical and professional growth. • Ensure key technical knowledge is documented and accessible to the team. What do I need? • Extensive hands-on full stack experience with a proven track record of leading complex projects. • The technologies used are Java or .Net based and include React JS, Redux, Node JS, Swagger API, Spring Boot, Typescript, Kafka. • Solid understanding of microservices architecture • Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders • Strong time management and organisational skills Why join us?
