About the roleExciting opportunities have arisen within our brand new Newcastle branch for a dynamic and progressive Business Development Manager. You will be comfortable working to agreed performance targets and motivated by achieving high sales results and increasing profit margins. This is a competitive environment where you will have exposure to exciting career development opportunities.Reporting directly to the Branch Manager you will be responsible for: • Sales of waste management and recycling services to business customers • Supporting and contributing to company growth strategies • Maintaining a customer relationship program using the company lead management system • Building a referral network and maintaining sound business relationships• Contributing to team meetings and discussions• Utilising appropriate sales tools and resources to maximise your performance and efficiency• Working with and assisting the Operational Management teams within the companyAbout your experienceIndustry experience will be regarded but is not essential as we are looking for highly motivated, positive individuals with a determination to succeed in sales. You will be a self-starter and must have the ability to work independently with a diverse range of customers. The successful candidate will be engaging and won’t be afraid to knock on doors to maximise sales opportunities. A positive approach to appointment setting and call volumes is required.You will have:• Previous experience in a sales environment or a business-to-business sales role• Tenacity and a determination to be successful • A game plan to achieve KPI’s• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Attention to detail• Strong organisation and time management skills• Great customer relations and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders• A demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement• Problem solving skills• The ability to work independently and autonomously. In return for your enthusiasm, skills and success you will be rewarded with a competitive remuneration package which includes a base salary of $80,000 (higher for experienced applicants) plus car allowance of $13,000 and tools of trade.
