**Position**:2 x** **Continuing Full Time** **(fractional appointment can be negotiated)

**Location**: Newcastle (Callaghan) or Central Coast (Gosford) Campuses

We are seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to lead the delivery of teaching using a hybrid approach into the Bachelor of Nursing program and our online postgraduate program offerings. You will also contribute to growing the research profile of the nursing discipline at a local, national and international level.

The positions are advertised as Continuing Full Time however, a fractional appointment can be negotiated for the right person.

- The position has strong established links with academics and industry partners at the two SNM teaching campuses: Callaghan and Central Coast Clinical School in addition to the local connections with Hunter New England, Central Coast and Mid North Coast Local Health Districts plus a large number of aged care providers and other industry partners. There are also numerous opportunities for collaboration with research programs conducted through the University, the Hunter Medical Research Institute (HMRI) and the Central Coast Clinical School and Research Institute (CCCSRI).

**How you will inspire us**

You will have:

- Commitment to and expertise in an area of nursing practice for eg. but not limited to simulation and professional skills; chronic illness and disability, palliative care; surgical nursing.
- A student focused approach is central to your teaching approach.
- Motivation to succeed as an academic.
- Drive for excellence in carrying out key duties of the role, teaching, research and administrative.
- Practice and/or scholarly expertise in an area of nursing for eg. but not limited to: simulation and professional skills; chronic illness and disability, palliative care; surgical nursing.
