headspace provides support to young people aged 12-25 experiencing mild to moderate or emerging mental health issues. The multidisciplinary team at headspace Goulburn work to improve health, social, vocational and educational outcomes for young people.
Grand Pacific Health is the lead agency of headspace Goulburn. We are a not-for-profit, primary health care organisation providing locally-tailored, high quality physical and mental health services across NSW and the ACT.
About The Position
The Mental Health Clinician works collaboratively with a young person and their family/carers to identify support needs, goals and develop collaborative care plans. They provide high quality psychosocial assessment and evidence-based, focused interventions. This position requires working closely with the other members of the headspace Goulburn team and external service providers and works to maximise care outcomes for young people referred to headspace Goulburn.
This opportunity is full-time fixed term to 30 July 2026 with the possibility for extension. Full-time positions also have the opportunity to enjoy a Rostered Day Off each month.
We Are Looking For Someone With
* Current AHPRA registration as a Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Provisional Psychologist, or Occupational Therapist (accredited in mental health) or qualifications in social work and has (or willing to work towards) accreditation with the AASW as a Mental Health Social Worker
* Experience in assessment and diagnosis of mental health disorders, provision of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and other evidence-based focused psychological strategies.
* Demonstrated understanding of key issues in relation to the health and wellbeing needs of young people with mental health and/or substance use problems.
* Demonstrated ability to engage and communicate effectively with young people, and their family and friends.
