Assistant Building Surveyor

Join our customer-focused Business Services Team and play a key role in delivering high-quality statutory building services for Council and the Nillumbik community. As our Assistant Building Surveyor, you'll be the first point of contact for the public, providing clear, accurate and timely advice on building permit requirements and technical inquiries. You'll also support the Building Services team with both customer service and technical expertise.

What a typical day will look like;
* Be the friendly first point of contact for the public, providing professional, accurate, and timely advice on building permit requirements and technical inquiries.
Provide essential technical and administrative support to the Building Services Team.
Assess and process minor building applications efficiently and in compliance with all relevant legislation and policies.
Contribute to the effective delivery of Council's statutory building services, ensuring an outstanding customer experience.
What you will bring to the role;
* Advanced Diploma of Building Surveying/ equivalent or demonstrated experience understanding the Building Act and Regulations.
* Registered Building Practitioner in the Class of Building Inspector Swimming Pools (Preferred)
* Current Construction Induction Card "White Card" issued by Work Safe Victoria
* Valid Victorian Driver's License
