All About the Role
The Grocery, Convenience, and other Retail Verticals are high-priority sectors with significant growth potential. The purpose of this role is to drive the expansion of Menulog's business in various retail segments in Australia.
Key Responsibilities
1. Secure business with key accounts to grow Menulog's retail business
2. Develop and execute sales plan for different retail segments
3. Size up the addressable market
4. Identify and prioritise target partners
5. Develop business with head office accounts
6. Negotiate terms and deliver favourable commercial outcomes
7. Facilitate a smooth onboarding process to go live
Optimise the performance and engagement of Menulog's key retail accounts by establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key decision makers and collaborating to develop and implement effective joint business plans.
1. Provide category-specific recommendations, including product assortment, pricing strategies, and promotional plans
2. Plan, execute and evaluate marketing campaigns
3. Lead contract negotiations and manage compliance
4. Provide accurate sales forecasts
5. Track performance and provide regular reports
Cross-functional collaboration is essential to secure the support needed to be effective.
1. Build strong relationships cross functional and with global stakeholders
2. Communicate and secure alignment on the sales strategy
3. Create compelling business cases for strategic initiatives
4. Collaborate on budgeting and resource allocation
5. Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance updates
Requirements
1. At least 3 years of sales experience, including at a National Sales Manager level
2. A track record of successfully working with tier one partners (e.g. Woolworth Group, Endeavour Group)
3. Retail quick commerce experience is a bonus
4. Key attributes: driven, self motivated, resilient, result oriented, entrepreneurial, resourceful, flexible, passionate and professional
5. Tertiary degree qualification in a relevant field (Business / Marketing) preferred.
