About the Department The role of the Department of Education is to support Victorians to build prosperous, socially engaged, happy and healthy lives. It does this by supporting lifelong learning and healthy development, strengthening families and helping to equip people with the skills and knowledge for a 21st century economy and society. About the Group Schools and Regional Services (SRS) offers central, regional, and local expertise to enhance learning and development outcomes, supported by a diverse and geographically dispersed workforce. It comprises 17 areas within 4 regions, backed by 5 central office divisions, all collaborating to deliver improved outcomes for early childhood services, schools, communities, and learners, in line with Education State commitments. SRS regions serve as a bridge between the central office, schools, and service providers, ensuring smooth transitions for learners and achieving the department's ambitious targets. Each region includes divisions specialising in school performance, student wellbeing and early childhood support, working with area-based teams to tailor local interventions and practices. The 17 areas provide crucial insights into local trends and issues, facilitating effective policy and program development and driving child and learner outcomes across all services and programs. This role is located under the Executive Director Unit, Goulburn Area, North East Region, SRS. About the Role The Administration Officer, under the direction of the Executive Director of Goulburn Area, will work closely with other staff performing administrative functions across the region to support area-wide accountabilities such as fleet management, facilities and administrative processes. The role is critical to the effective operations of the area. It will involve periods of sustained independent work, as well as engagement with regional and divisional staff, key central divisions and members of the community. The role demands flexibility and the ability to work in a highly collaborative and supportive way with all other staff performing administrative functions across the region. The Administration Officer will demonstrate a high level of discretion, integrity and initiative in the performance of their tasks, which include: * Records management, including administration of area Sharepoint sites. * Procurement, including hospitality, travel, office supplies and general invoice processing. * General administration support for area. * Coordination of the area inbox and other area-wide administrative processes. * Program and project administration support. * Fleet Management The position is ongoing commencing 9 February 2026 located in either the Shepparton or Seymour Offices. The position requires some travel across the Region Attributes The role requires the following capabilities: * Planning, organisation and attention to detail * Relationship building * Initiative and accountability and self management * Verbal and written communication Qualifications and Experience The successful applicant will be required to provide a current Working With Children Check and Drivers Licence.
