We are seeking an experienced mechanical technician to join our on-site maintenance team at our Yatala, QLD facility.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical maintenance and be able to troubleshoot, maintain, repair and install industrial equipment.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans for all plant and equipment.
* Safely perform and coordinate mechanical maintenance, repairs and overhauls on equipment such as autoclaves, conveyors, wash lines and shredders.
* Carry out fault finding, troubleshooting and mechanical adjustments to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimise downtime.
* Collaborate with the Operations, Engineering and Project teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
* Coordinate and supervise contractors involved in mechanical servicing, repairs and upgrades to plant equipment.
* Manage and complete PM tasks within the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
* Complete daily operational and safety documentation prior to performing works.
Requirements:
* Qualified and experienced mechanical technician with a strong mechanical background.
* Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, maintain, repair and install industrial equipment.
* Familiarity with PLC-controlled machinery and data/communications systems viewed favourably.
* Proven ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team or project environment.
* Strong focus on safety, compliance and quality workmanship.
* Experienced in completing Work Permits, SWMS and other safety documentation.
* Excellent problem-solving, communication and attention-to-detail skills.
* Positive, hands-on approach with a commitment to working in the best interests of Cleanaway and our clients.
* Willingness to work overtime when required.
* Willingness to be available on call outside of normal work hours.
