The opportunity:
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join the Site Services department in our Balcatta office in a Soil Technician role in full-time capacity. Reporting to the Section Manager, the duties within this role include:
* Compaction testing of residential sand pads
* Site inspections for site and wind-class classifications.
* Vegetation assessments for Bushfire Attack Levels (BALs)
* Ground Slab certifications
* Compliance with Company OSH policies and procedures
Training and Development : This is an entry-level position, and while previous experience in laboratory or field testing is beneficial, it is not a requirement. Comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided, along with the opportunity to undertake Diploma Courses in Certificate III and Certificate IV Materials Testing. This structured training ensures that all new team members gain the technical skills and industry knowledge needed to succeed in the role.
Successful applicants will have the opportunity to build a long‑term career within Structerre's Geotechnical Engineering and Laboratory divisions. With a presence across both Perth and regional Western Australia, the organisation supports internal mobility and career progression, allowing employees to grow into more advanced technical roles or leadership positions as their experience and qualifications develop.
You will be provided with a work vehicle, mobile phone and iPad.

* A valid C class Drivers Licence
* Physical capability to safely and competently operate field equipment, such as Perth Sand Penetrometers, power hand augers, and other manual tools
* Ability to work day to day unsupervised at various sites
* Ability to follow procedures and standards
* Client oriented and self-motivated
* White card (advantageous)
