About the Opportunity


Are you a finance professional ready to step into an exciting partner role and drive impactful change in a fast-paced organisation?

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Finance Business Partner to join our team at Cessnock City Council. In this key role, you will work closely with leaders across the organisation to drive strategic financial decisions and support the delivery of high impact projects that make a real difference to our region.

As the Finance Business Partner, you will deliver high-quality monthly reporting, financial analysis and budgeting support to your designated business units. By partnering with managers and key stakeholders, you will provide expert financial advice, drive process improvements and contribute to key financial deliverables including the annual budget, quarterly forecasts and the annual financial statements. Your insights and support will help shape financial strategies that drive operational efficiency, promote a culture of financial accountability and align with Council's long-term objectives.

This is an ideal opportunity for a degree qualified, proactive accountant with strong technical skills who enjoys stakeholder engagement and is committed to driving improvements in financial performance.

Remuneration


$99,099 - $113,964 per annum plus superannuation
