Bankstown Basketball Association is a grassroots/ semi-professional basketball club that dates back to 1964 and has successfully become one of the premier clubs in NSW. It prides itself on providing pathways to the next generation of professional basketball players, referees, coaches, and administrators to excel in their chosen field on the State, National, or International stage. Home to Bankstown Stadium - a 7-court facility that hosts local and representative competitions, junior coaching, school tournaments, community groups, and multi-purpose sports including futsal, volleyball, badminton, and pickleball.
The Association is looking for a competent, reliable, and professional Accounts and Payroll Manager on a part-time basis (30hr/w). Remuneration will be dependent on experience and qualifications. Key Responsibilities include:
* Manage all financial transactions through Xero accounting software and reconciliation
* Processing payments for competitions, coaching, schools, event bookings, canteen sales, and merchandise
* Managing association operating accounts through Xero
* BAS preparation and reporting (with support from our accountant)
* Payroll processing and staff reimbursements
* Invoicing, creditor management, and accounts payable/receivable
* Producing monthly financial reports for CEO and Board Meetings
* Supporting compliance with legislative and audit requirements
* Liaising with suppliers, customers, and internal managers

Working hours and days are flexible; however, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday between 8:30 am-5 pm is essential to collaborate with department managers and payroll management of casual staff such as referees, court supervisors, canteen staff, bench personnel, and professional basketball players/coaches/managers. Training will consist of roughly a 3-6 week handover from the existing Accounts Manager to upskill procedures and processes that are successfully implemented to ensure a smooth and comfortable transition.
Minimum Requirements
* Working with Children / Working with Vulnerable People Check
* Competent in the use of XERO Accounting Software
* Minimum 3 years experience in Payroll or Financial Management
