Are you a technician looking to step off the tools and into a career-defining specialist role? We are partnering with a prominent Australian agricultural machinery manufacturer based in Wagga Wagga to find a dedicated Product Specialist. This is a unique opportunity to combine your mechanical aptitude with client-facing consultancy.
While you will assist with critical repairs, the majority of your time will be spent on machine startups and ensuring optimal performance in the field. You will join a supportive team that values attitude over experience, offering a genuine pathway for professional growth within a market-leading business.
Role responsibilities:
* Coordinate machine delivery, comprehensive setups, and field startups for new owners.
* Provide expert training, solution consultations, and ongoing support to clients.
* Manage critical mechanical breakdowns and collaborate with engineering for technical rectifications.
* Attend field days and demonstrations to promote product capabilities.
* Maintain accurate records of client interactions and service activities.
Required skills:
* Strong mechanical aptitude with a necessary connection to the Ag machinery industry.
* Excellent communication skills for building relationships with farmers and stakeholders.
* Willingness to work significant overtime during peak seasonal periods.
* Current C Class driver's licence and ability to travel.
* Adaptability to handle both "hands-on" work and professional consulting duties.
Previous exposure to Agricultural and Farming Machinery in a retail or wholesale environment would be advantageous for this position. Candidates who have experience with brands such as John Deere, Case IH, New Holland, Massey Ferguson, Fendt, Claas, Kubota, Deutz or similar are strongly encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will be rewarded with an hourly rate of around $45/hr to $50/hr plus loads of overtime. You'll also get a work vehicle and tools of trade.
